Even Minsk can be considered a cheap destination, this is not always true with the hotels. The selecion is broad, ranging from hotel properties that have not been reconstructed since Gorbachev's reign (which also keep the so-called-service on the standard of these old times) to new quality hotels, some of them even bearing a reputable brand. What lacks on the hotel supply is compensated by short term rental of apartments, that can save you up to 40% of hotel's price. There no typical backpackers hostels with shared kitchen, but some of dormitories of divers institutions like Ministry of Agriculture or Union of bus drivers can well substitute a hostel, even we strongly recommend apartment hire.
